The Biggest Video Game Releases for June 2020

June 2020 will be another great month of game releases. Here's a quick look at some of the games that you can look forward to.


Valorant

Valorant is a free-to-play, first-person tactical shooter. It focuses on 5-on-5, team-based gameplay, during which each player controls a different agent in a deathmatch. Players can purchase new weapons and abilities to gain an edge during combat.


Tour de France 2020

Tour de France 2020 pits you against other cyclists as you race to finish all 21 stages of the Tour de France. The game features a Sprint or Downhill Challenge mode and even allows you to compete against your friends. It's set to release on PC at a later date.


Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics

The next entry in the Clubhouse Games series gives you access to 51 tabletop and board games, each designed to run on the Nintendo Switch. You can play Chess, Mancala, Toy Boxing and so much more.


Command & Conquer Remastered Collection

Relive Command & Conquer with upgrades for a new generation. The game features everything that you loved about the original but has several new features, including 4K graphics, an enhanced user interface, and a rebuilt multiplayer mode.


The Outer Worlds

Now you can enjoy The Outer Worlds on your Switch. This action role-playing game puts you in control of a character that you create as you explore the solar system. The game was released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 25, 2019.


The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor

This expansion to the Elder Scrolls Online game is the next chapter after Harrowstorm. In it, you explore western Skyrim nearly 1,000 years prior to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. You'll gather power to take on the Vampire Lord and stop him from enslaving Tamriel. This expansion is already available on PC.


Grounded

Grounded lets you explore a vast and dangerous backyard while you're no bigger than the size of an ant. In this survival-adventure game, you take control of a kid as you build, explore, and learn to survive. Just watch out for the hordes of giant insects that want to make you dinner.


The Dark Eye: Book of Heroes

Enjoy a classic RPG with your friends in The Dark Eye: Book of Heroes. The game focuses on co-op adventures that have you and your friends explore the world of Aventuria. You also have the ability to explore this world alone.


Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD

Get your hands on a physical copy of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD for the Switch on June 9. It's an HD remake of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, which was originally released for the Xbox. You play as the Stranger, and your mission is to capture the outlaws that are terrorizing the West.


Ys: Memories of Celceta

This entry into the Ys series is a real-time, action RPG. In the game, you play as Adol and some other characters while exploring the land of Celceta. It takes place about a year before the events of Ys II.


Warborn

Warborn is a turn-based, tactics game that requires you to deploy mechs to win battles across a campaign of 40 missions. The game also features the ability to create maps and battle in multiplayer.


Desperados III

Published by THQ Nordic, Desperados III is a real-time tactics game. It's the first release in the Desperados series since the spinoff title, Helldorado, was released in 2007. As the name suggests, the game is set in a Wild West setting.


Disintegration

Disintegration is a first-person shooter that mixes in elements of real-time strategy. Set in the near future, the game has you battle in the first person while struggling to manage vital resources. It also features a 5-on-5 multiplayer mode.


Daymare 1998

Daymare 1998 is a survival horror game that you play in the third person. It focuses on recreating the vibes that classic 90s horror games developed while providing a fresh new story. The game takes place in a small town where an incident turned it into a deadly war zone.


Waking

Waking is a third-person action game that takes you on an emotional journey through your character's dying mind. Battles have you conjure memories of her loved ones to help her battle to save her own life.


Burnout Paradise Remastered

On June 19, Burnout Paradise Remastered makes its way to the Switch. This racing game features both online and local co-op multiplayer. While the game has been out on other consoles, this is the first time that the series has been on a Nintendo system in nearly 18 years.


The Last of Us: Part II

The Last of Us: Part II is the follow-up to the Naughty Dog game, The Last of Us. It takes place five years after the events of The Last of Us and has you take control of 19-year-old Ellie, who finds herself facing off against a Christian cult in a post-apocalyptic background. From the developers of Pokemon, Little Town Hero is an RPG that forces you to come up with good strategies to beat monsters. There's no level grinding here, just creating good strategies to beat each boss.

This remake of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, which was released in 2003, features updated graphics and a new multiplayer mode. In the game, you take control of SpongeBob, Sandy and Patrick as they try to take out Plankton.


Ninjala

Ninjala is a free-to-play multiplayer game developed by GungHo Online Entertainment. It focuses on melee combat as you face off in battle royale between eight players. You can choose to battle players in either solo or team modes.


The Almost Gone

The Almost Gone is a point-and-click adventure game during which you control a little girl as she explores the events that led up to her death. The game focuses mostly on solving puzzles to progress the story.


Mr. Driller DrillLand

Like the other Mr. Driller games, Mr. Driller DrillLand is an action-puzzle game that has you drilling color blocks while trying not to get crushed by the falling blocks. This release is an updated version of the Japanese-only GameCube title.


Fairy Tail

Based on the popular manga and anime of the same name, Fairy Tail follows Natsu as he takes on unique missions for his fairy tail guild. The game is a turn-based RPG.


The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III

The third installment of the Trails of Cold Steel series makes its way to the Switch on June 30. It features traditional turn-based combat and takes place directly after the events of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II.


Hunting Simulator 2

In Hunting Simulator 2, you hunt in the forests of Colorado and the deserts of Texas with your dog. You can track down over 33 species of animals and equip over 160 pieces of gear.


Indivisible

The physical edition of the action-platformer Indivisible makes its way to the Switch on June 26. The game features fast, 2D gameplay and forces you to fight your way through epic bosses.


Truck Driver

Truck Driver is a truck-driving simulator in which you control trucks in a variety of sizes. Your goal is to ensure that your payload gets to its destination on time and unharmed.


The Wonderful 101: Remastered

This is a remastered version of Wii U title The Wonderful 101. The game features over 100 unique and interesting heroes, and you control them all at once. You can morph these heroes into weapons and objects to fight enemies and solve puzzles.


Pokemon Sword / Shield: The Isle of Armor Expansion Pass

The Isle of Armor is an expansion to the Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield games. This expansion adds a new area to explore and new Pokemon to catch. Another expansion — The Crown Tundra — is scheduled for release in the fall.
