A major Playstation 5 reveal event was scheduled for this Thursday, June 4 where Sony was going to announce the debut games for the newest console. However, the company has decided to cancel the reveal event in light of the current demonstrations in the US.

Sony took to Twitter with a statement:

"We have decided to postpone the PlayStation 5 event scheduled for June 4. While we understand gamers worldwide are excited to see Playstation 5 games, we do not feel that right now is a time for celebration and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard."

There have been no announcements regarding plans to reschedule the event. At least fans of the gaming system were able to get a small taste of what's to come with the DualSense Controller. The Playstation 5 is still on schedule for its Holiday 2020 release.
