There are endless FPS games out there in 2020. It takes a special kind of simulator to show you where you can improve on every single one. Aim Lab, developed by StateSpace, targets exactly the broad training program even casual gamers will find immediately useful.
Aim Lab might have a diverse set of game options, but its purpose is singular. Practice with weapons like pistols or rifles, and get the nitty-gritty details about your skills. What's your accuracy, and where do most of your misfires come from? What are the ways to improve? Aim Lab has you covered.
This game gives you the tools to get better at shooters of all kinds.
This game gives you the tools to get better at shooters of all kinds. It has tons of settings for different popular FPS/TPS games like Minecraft, PUBG, and CS: GO. The 5/5 concept provides tips and tricks that accomplish exactly what it promises!
The biggest drawback about Aim Lab is that it won't run on lower-end machines. Suppose you're using a laptop not optimized for gaming. In that case, you don't have the best shooter experience and the most accurate feedback possible. That's the biggest drawback.
The biggest drawback about Aim Lab is that it won't run on lower-end machines.
Other than that, though, you can switch up your graphics and audio as needed. Practicing your drawdown speed on Fortnite? Hit the pre-selected settings for that game and hop in with the looks and sound optimized. It's a handy trick that provides a truly slice-of-life look at your skills in every single game.
The graphics and audio are solid, earning 4/5 for their complexity, but still need some tweaks to stand out against other shooter training simulators like 3D Aim Trainer.

It might sound like Aim Labs is all about the technical side of shooters. Of course, its main goal is to help you get better. But it makes that super fun! Customize every single aspect of oodles of guns.
Seriously, the game has everything. Shotguns from TF2, projectile weapons from CoD: Modern Warfare (2019), sniper rifles from Overwatch, and so much more. You can try out general tasks and check on things like your spatial awareness, or you can customize your weapon and ability all the way down to the recoil pattern.
Seriously, the game has everything.
Work on your skills with keyboard and mouse or switch over to Xbox or PlayStation controllers and get good on console, too. The diversity in Aim Lab is a solid 4/5. There is still plenty to come, with the game being in early access over at Steam!
Aim Lab is free to check out over on Steam. It's got so many customization options, as well as a ton of different FPS/TPS games for practicing with. Any weapon you might think you're good at is there so you can experiment.
Additionally, take your skills to the next level with weapons with which you might struggle. There's a leaderboard in Aim Lab and plenty of content to keep you improving in countless little ways!
Aim Lab is a simulator game designed to improve accuracy and skill in FPS and TPS games by tracking and analyzing performance.
What follows is the official description of Aim Lab, from the developers.
Beta phase 1 is coming to a close! We appreciate all the amazing suggestions and all the bugs you've helped us crush so far, and we look forward to more with Beta phase 2. After May 1, you will no longer be able to purchase access to Aim Lab on Steam until Beta phase 2 begins.
Note: this only affects new users. Anyone who currently has access to Aim Lab or any purchases of Aim Lab made before May 1st will not have their access revoked and you will be able to continue your training in Aim Lab uninterrupted as we prepare for Beta phase 2.
Stay tuned for more information on Aim Lab Beta phase 2, including the Beta phase 2 roadmap, start date, and sneak peaks of new tasks and features!
This is an EARLY ACCESS beta version of Aim Lab that is still VERY EARLY IN DEVELOPMENT. Bugs, lack of polish, and game-breaking bugs are to be expected. Please do not purchase if you are looking for a finished version, and instead add Aim Lab to your wishlist to follow along with the devlog updates!
Aim Lab is the ultimate FPS training solution. Built by neuroscientists, Aim Lab blends cutting-edge performance tracking and analytics with AI-based training to make you better, faster.
Understand your weaknesses, and eliminate them.
Bad at flick shots to left side of the screen? Cant seem to hit strafing or jumping targets? We fix that. In any type of performance, it is critical to know what you are good at, and where you need help. Our AI-based training system will learn your strengths and weaknesses, and adapt accordingly to optimize training gains.
Identify your biases, and correct them. Did you know that humans have unique performance biases? For example, some people may be more accurate shooting targets in the left side of the screen than the right. Identifying these biases is a first critical step in correcting them and improving overall skill.
Go beyond strategy.
Success in competitive FPS games hinges on two things: strategy and skill. Just as 1:1 coaching, video reviews, and strategy guides have allowed players to improve their tactical performance, The Aim Lab allows you to meaningfully improve your skill performance. We focus on the fundamentals that facilitate FPS performance (speed, accuracy, precision, reaction time, visual acuity, decision-making, adaptation, visual attention) to help you reach your full potential.
