Ridiculous Ragdoll in the Happy Room

Introduction

Happy Room is a PC flash game which gives players the chance to test their inner maniacal villain or to let out some steam. Players must destroy a ragdoll using a variety of traps and weapons. The ragdoll is tossed around to room and bounces from one explosion to the next.

Concept

The goal of the game is to annihilate the ragdoll in the most creative way possible. Players are awarded for meeting certain objectives. Each objective requires a set of traps that the ragdoll must encounter. The more objectives the players meet, the more money they are awarded. More money allows players to purchase more destructive and insane gadgets.

Happy Room is a test of creativity and ingenuity. Players must take a trial and error approach to figure out which decisions are the best. The ragdoll takes a different trajectory depending on the placement of each trap. This requires the player to develop a good understanding of the game's mechanics.

Graphics & Audio

The game incorporates a blend of cartoony imagery and mild violence. Unlike its counterpart, Happy Wheels, which uses blood and gore upon damage to the main player, Happy Rooms uses sparks when the ragdoll is damaged. The room becomes charred with explosive stains from all the weapons and bombs.

Sharp and clear audio can be heard upon collision with each weapon. This style is unique to many flash games which want to emphasize the impact of the collision. The game is otherwise silent to help build up the tension. Most of the sounds in the game consist of the noise made from weapons and the ragdoll crashing around the room.

Gameplay

Happy Room uses a distinct ragdoll physics that is like Happy Wheels. All the limbs of the ragdoll are loosely connected to the main body and flail all over the place. The ragdoll stays suspended in the air after bouncing away from a big explosion or impact. The hitbox of the ragdoll is somewhat large so the ragdoll may touch some objects without actual contact made.

The objectives become increasingly difficult throughout the game. Players must use more weapons or cause more damage to the ragdoll to move on. At the end of each level, the amount of damage dealt with each member of the ragdoll is displayed in the final score.

There are different modes available. The sandbox mode allows players to practice their skills. It also grants them access to an unlimited supply of weapons. The Robo Mode is a modification of the original ragdoll and uses a robot instead. Players have access to unique weapons in this mode.

Conclusion

Happy Room uses a mix of traditional and modern styles of flash gameplay. The game receives regular updates which include new levels, a larger inventory, and more. The game appeals to both casual and hardcore players. The game can be stopped at any time and a player can feel satisfied at the end. The game hardly ever runs out of things for the player to do or stay engaged.

Summary

Happy Room is a fun and well-designed game for players test the limitations of anarchic weapons on a ragdoll with insane physics.

From the Developers

What follows is the official description of Happy Room, from the developers.

Welcome to the laboratory!

Here tests are taken upon highly durable human clones using newest weapon technologies. Your goal is to head these tests.

Will you destroy the test object using all available arsenal? Here is a wide range of various weapons waiting to be

used for the most insidious purposes! Melee, energetic, firearm and even a black hole. Combine it at your desire! You may have

a cup of hot coffee while another clone is being ripped by a circular saw and at the same time roasted by a flamethrower.

Cruel?.. Maybe, anyway those test objects are just artificially grown human clones. So whatever, put your feet on the table and

have no worry about a thing. Let your nerves relax, to the laboratory!
