The game borrows from Rocket League's car customization for its balls. Change the color of your golf ball or give it one of many hats while you compete against friends. It's completely nonsensical and fun to watch your pirate-hat wearing ball go flying across the map.

Give them a honey ball that sticks to the green as it rolls, ruining their shot. The snap freeze ball puts a countdown timer on a ball, freezing it after it ends. Power-ups like double jump can help you overcome traps laid by your friends.

The challenge of the game is finishing the course first with the least strokes. Expect your friends to use every dirty under-handed trick in the book to keep you away – and you can do the same. Friendships might become strained over this mini-golf game, much like Mario Kart.

Golf With Your Friends isn't the most aesthetically pleasing game to look at, but it is the most fun you can have with 12 people online. Developer Blacklight Interactive is continually releasing patches for this Early Access experience.
