This may not be the most original game on the planet, but it definitely the most addictive.

Basics

A fast-paced 2d action game made by Blue Mammoth Games, this is a game where you can get started right away, but there is plenty of replay value as you master the combos, reflexes, offensive, and defensive skills.

Concept 3.5/5

If you're looking for something original, this is not it. But for a fighting game, it works great - and the added touch of being able to 'jump' almost without end to get back into the game is a nice bonus.

Graphics & Audio 4/5

Totally fine. Fantastically fine. These graphics will never make you feel like you're plugged into reality, but they won't get in the way. Fluid gameplay, fun character-specific and character-weapon-specific animations flow easily from one to the next in a very satisfying way.

Occasionally these animations can feel repetitive (the spinning lance of doom if you jump and then heavy attack downwards gets very frustrating as you get pummelled...)

Gameplay

Excellent, for what it is. You can play with button mashing madness or you can bring more finesse and skill to the game and reap the rewards. Be sure to Google a few of the better moves, including specific responses to various attacks. Combos are where it's at, but never forget how important the timing of those combos is.

Replay value

I've played this endlessly, and it never gets old. Maybe not great for an 8 hour session, but if you're into a pick-up game of an hour or two with friends, it'll be your daily driver for months or even years to come.

Conclusion

Get it! You won't be disappointed.
