Pokemon Home - The Long-Awaited Connection Between 3DS and Switch

Pokemon Storage and More

Pokemon Home Brings Connectivity Across Consoles and Mobile

Compatible with Let's Go!, Sword and Shield, and Pokemon Bank

Long-time Pokemon players have plenty of Pokemon they left behind when the new generation of games came out on Nintendo Switch. Creatures from regions like Unova to Alola have all been collecting dust. Until now.

pokemon home

Pokemon Home began as a mere rumor but has become a reality that millions of fans worldwide love. Its recent launch means that Pokemon from the 3DS can now be moved forward to Switch games like Let's Go! or Sword and Shield. It has plenty of other great features to offer as well.

Connectivity Across Generations

Pokemon is a franchise that spans decades. The collectible creatures bring in fans young and old alike. Pokemon Home aims to bridge the gap between old games on the 3DS and new ones on the Switch. It also provides a better trading network for players. Finally, it's expanded available storage for Let's Go! and Sword/Shield games.

From a die-hard Pokefan's perspective, this free app is a collector or breeder's dream! As always, The Pokemon Company provides a clear, 5/5 vision for its latest Pokemon software.

Graphics and Audio: Updating 3DS Pokemon To Modern Sprites

The sounds and visuals are Pokemon through and through. The classical trading music bumps in the background when checking Wondertrade Box or the GTS on the mobile app. The Switch version has original music that incorporates classic themes like Pokemon Bank or the famous Pokemon theme.

A fantastic undertaking of Pokemon Home is that it offers a complete Pokedex, meaning every Pokemon ever created has an updated, cel-shaded sprite. They are fully rendered sprites and can be admired from any angle in both the mobile and Switch apps.

The labor of love in this graphically forward, 5/5 software has been a long-time coming.

Organize, Trade, Transfer

In the games, Pokemon are always stored in boxes when there's no room in a trainer's party. Pokemon Home on Switch connects Sword/Shield, Let's Go!, and Pokemon Home's boxes together.

Drag and drop Pokemon from Let's Go! or Sword/Shield into the Pokemon Home boxes. Pokemon that aren't compatible between games have clear markers, and can't be moved into those games, keeping everyone's Pokemon safe from being lost due to error.

Bring forward any previous Pokemon from 3DS by opening Pokemon Bank and using the connectivity options to Pokemon Home on Switch.

Then, hop over to Pokemon Home for mobile and check out the trading world! The Global Trading System is up and running again for premium users. Free users can check out the Wondertrade Box that allows up to 10 Pokemon to be wonder traded at a time! Additionally, join a trade room and randomly trade with other players or add friends and then trade with them!

This app has a bright future

Finally, you can complete challenges on both mobile and Switch versions to earn special rewards. Logging in daily, adding Pokemon from Kanto (Let's Go!) or Galar (Sword/Shield), and depositing Pokemon are just a few ways to enjoy this 5/5 play.

A Must-Use for Pokemon Switch Players

This app has a bright future with plenty of planned updates. It will also be compatible with the Pokemon mobile game, Pokemon Go!, soon. Pokemon Home is an already treasured tool in the community with storage, trading, and organization tools,

TL/DR

Pokemon Home is a storage system that features a full Pokedex, new challenges, and the return of the Global Trading System.
